The marriage of Miss Jolene
Betas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs
Robert E. Bates of Newfane, and
Daniel Halo, son of Mr. and Mrs
Edward Halo of Barker, was sol
emnized at 3 o'clock Saturday aft
ernoon, April 14, at Immanuel Lu
theran Church in Ridgewood, the
Rev. August Kreutz officiating.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a ballerina
length dress with a skirt of white
taffeta overlaid with layers of
net and ruffles. Long, fingertip
sleeves and a high neckline were
featured on the lace bodice. A
crown of hand-beaded pearls held
her net veil and she carried a Colonial
bouquet of white carnations
Miss Donna Bates, sister of the
bride, was maid of honor wear
ing a dress of pink taffeta and
net. She wore a crown of pink
flowers and carried a bouquet of
pink carnations.
Similar ensembles in blue, vel
low and orchid ware worn by the
bridesmaids, Miss Judy Bates,
Miss Roselyn Rush and Miss Mar-
Jorie Pedley, respectively. The
bouquet carried by each matched
her gown.
A pink and white dress was worn
by the flower girl, Debbie Bates.
She carried pink flowers.
George Swetgert of Appleton
was best man. Ushers were Robert
Bates of Newfane, Richard Owens
of Lockport and Donald Halo
of Barker. Daniel Shaw of Michigan
was the ring bearer.
The bride's mother wore beige
with pink accessories and pink carnations.
A blue suit with white accessories
and white gardenias was
worn by the groom's mother.
Following the ceremony, a reception
was held ia the church
dining room.
