The marriage of Miss Adelaide
Earlaie Batt of 233 Christiana Street,
North Tonawanda to a. Hugh Mc
Govern of Buffalo was solemnized this
morning in the presence of seventy-five
relatives and friends, the Rev. F. J.
Kelly officiating.
The church was decorated with
palms and cut flowers, the seats for
the bridesmaid beftng marked with
bows of white ribbon. Lohengrin's
wedding march was played by Mrs.
John Nuwer, sister of the bride, accompanied
on the violin by Mr. Nuwer.
Mrs. James Walsh of Buffalo sang
"Because' A quartet composed
of Mrs. J a m e s Walsh, soprano. ,
Mrs. John Young, alto John
Young, tenor and George Heffern,
bass. Mrs. John Nuwer sang. "Ave
Maria."
The bride who was given in mar-
riage by her brother, James P Mis-
ner, wore a gown of white charnieuse
crepe trimmed with silk Chantilly lace
with court train. He veil was fash-
ioned in a cap of real lace caught at
each side with clusters of orange
blossoms.
blossoms. She carried a shower bou-
quet of white roses and lilies of the
valley.
Mrs. Norman Mccormack was ma-
tron of honor and Miss Ella McGov-
ern, maid of honor. Bridesmaids were
Miss Mary mcGovern and Miss Ade-
laide Slattery. Mary Helen Batt and
Ruth McGovern were flower girls.
Norman McCormack was best man
and ushers were Edwin Nuwer, Rob-
ert Hankin and Donald Batt.
Mrs. McCormack wore a gown of
yellow flowered chiffon with large yel-
low picture hat. Miss Ella McGov-
ern wore green chiffon and the brides-
maids wore peach and powder blue
chiffon gowns with large black picture
hats. All carried large bouquets of
flowers in colors corresponding to
their gowns. The flower girls were
dressed alike in frocks of pink organ-
die with hats to match and carried
French baskets of pink filled with
roses.
Following the ceremony a wedding
breakfast was served at the Elks
Home, covers being laid for sixteen
at a table decorated wit white roses
and ferns. The bride wore a string
of pearls, the gift of the groom, and
the groom wore a ring, the gift of the
bride. The bride's attendants were
given strings of pearls and the
groom's attendants, gold cuff links.
Out of town guests were Mr. and
Mrs. John Nuwer, Edwin Nuwer, Mr.
and Mrs. H. R. Hankin, Robert Hankin,
Mr. and Mrs. Norman McCormack,
Miss Ella McGovern, Mr. and Mrs.
James Walsh, Mr. and Mrs. John
Young, Mr. and Mrs. John McGovern,
Miss Ruth McGovern, Mr. and Mrs.
E. McCormack, Mr. and Mrs. John
Harmon, Mr. and Mrs. George Vare,
and Miss Olive Kearns of Buffalo;
Miss Lorett Daul of Niagara Falls;
Miss Clara Ott of Batavia; Mrs. Wal-
ter Maslin of Port Chester; Mr. and

Mr. and Mrs. McGovern left for a
wedding journey to New York, Phila-
delphia and Atlantic City and will be
at home after July 1 in Kenmore.
