Stricken with a heart attack while
working at'the Carborundum company's
plant' yesterday, James * A.
was taken to Mt. St. Mary's hos-
Steer, 45, of 1511 Seventeenth street,
pltal where he died today.
A native of this city, Mr. Steer
was a World War 1 veteran and was
a member of CoL Charles H. Morrow
Post 198, Regular Veterans association.
He had been employed as ah
electric welder by the Carbarundum
company for the last 11 years.
Mr. Steer is survived by his mother,
Mrs. Agnes Donavan; two daughters.
Mrs. William Mann, Jr., and
Miss Agnes M. Steer; a son, James
M.; three sisters. Mrs. Elmer Sevens,
Mrs. George Urquhart and Mrs.
Howard Wllllck, and a granddaughter,
all of this city. .
Funeral services win be held from
the home of Mrs: Ellen Bauer, 1839
Michigan avenue, Saturday at 8:30
a. m. and at St.. Mary's church at
9 a.m.
