A wedding Of interest took place
on Saturday, August 21, in Wil-
iamstown, Victoria, Australia, when
Miss Sylvia Sands, younger daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Roy Sands,
was united in marriage in Holy
Trinity church to Justin A. Bayne,
U. S. Marine Corps, only son of
Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Bayne of this
city.
The bride, who was given in mar-
riage by Her father, was charming
in a chalk-white gown of French
crepe. The. skirt lengthened to a
train . over which fell her filmy
tulle veil, arranged with a topknot
of camellias. The same flowers
comprised her bouquet.
Attending the bride was her sis-
ter, Mrs. David Underwood. Her
gown was of ice-blue crepe and she
wore a matching veil held in place
with pink and blue flowers. Little
Deidre Underwood, who was flowewr
girl, wore a frock of pink and blue
floral ninon with a dainty pink and
blue cap and carried a posy of pink
carnations and blue hyacinths.
Supply Assistant L. Sands, R. A. N.,
brother of the bride, was best man.
After the ceremony, which was
performed by the Rev. J. H. Rev-
erty, a reception was held at the
home of the bride's parents. The
couple spent their honeymoon at
Lorne, a popular Australian seaside
resort.
