Baskets of mixed gladiola and candelabra provided a
lovely setting for the -marriage of Miss Eleanor H. Meahl,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elton Meahl of Cambria Center to
Russell C. Parker, son of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Parker,
Warren's Corners.
The evening wedding was solemnized
at Cambria Center Congregational
Church, the Rev.
Charles Taylor officiating.
Wears Satin Halo
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a gown fashioned
with a white satin bodice, long
sleeves pointed at the wrist, high
sheer marquisette yoke edged with
pearl beading and a marquisette
skirt and train. A fingertip length
veil of Illusion was attached to a
braided satin halo. She carried a
bouquet of white roses and gypsophila
tied with white satin ribbon.
Miss Mary E Meahl, sister of the
bride from Corry, Pa.,, was maid of
honor, wearing an aqua net gown
with a matching shoulder-length
veil and carrying a bouquet of yellow
roses tied with a yellow ribbon.
Matching Gowns
The two bridesmaids. Miss Martha
J. Parker, sister of the groom
and Miss Alice M. Schuler. wore
matching gowns of pink net with
shoulder-length veils. Their bouquets
were pink and white roses
tied with a pink ribbon.
The bride's mother wore Navy
blue with white accessories and
Mrs. Parker was dressed in black
with white accessories. Both wore
a corsage of pink roses.
Calvin Hall of Warrens Corners
was best man.
Reception To 140
After the ceremony a reception
to 150 guests was held at the home
of the bride. A tiered wedding cake
centered the bridal table.
The couple left for a honeymoon
In the New England states, the bride
wearing a delicate pink dress with
white accessories. They will make
their home In Warrens Corners. .
Out-of-town guests were from
Tonawanda, Batavia and Akron.
Pre-nuptial events included variety
showers given by Mrs. William
Mosure. Mrs. Clark Hall, Mrs. Calvin
Hall. Miss Marilyn Brauer. Miss
Beulah Stern and Miss Alice Schuler.
