Summer flowers decorated St. Marys Church to form the
background for the double-ring ceremony on Saturday at 10
o'clock which united in marriage Miss Mary Alice Beakman,
daughter of Mrs. Ida C. Beakman of 19 Grant St., and C. James
Lockhart. son of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Lockhart of Boston,
the Rev. Roy W. Peter officiating.
The bride wore a gown of ivory
satin with a Chantilly lace bodice
and Peter Pan collar, the lace
tier over the upper part of the
skirt continuing into a cathedral
train of satin. Her illusion veil
was attached to an orange blos-
som tiara and she wore an heir-
loom locket belonging to the
groom's mother. she carried a
semi-cascade bouquet of white
roses.
ORGANDY OVER COLORS
Her attendants wore white em-
broidered organdy dresses over
colored taffeta slips, with short
organdy gauntlets and large pic-
ture hats. Colonial bouquets were
tied with ribbons matching the
pink, blue, acquamarine and or-
chid of the gowns. Mrs. Allan
Van Buren was matron of honor
and bridesmaids were the bride's
sister, Mrs. Thomas C. Haber of
Cincinnati, the groom's sister,
Miss Irene Lockhart of Boston
and the bride's cousin, Mrs. Earle
Campbell of Sanborn.
Joseph M. Kilcoyne gave the
bride in marriage. Robert B.
Lockhart of Boston, brother of the
groom, was best man and ushers
were Vernon King or Orchard
Park, John Jacobs of Gardenville
and Allan Van Buren of Lockport.
Mrs. Norbert Fritton furnished the
music.
MOTHERS' COSTUMES
The bride's mother wore a dress
of delphinium blyue Chantilly lace
and the groom's mother wore a
violet nylon dress. Both wore
white accessories and corsages of
red roses.
A wedding breakfast was served
to 25 guests at Green Acres, Burt,
and a reception to 200 was held
at Eagles'Temple. Mrs. Donald
Turner, Mrs. Eugene Hare and
Miss Joan Tumulty assisted dur-
ing the reception.
The couple left for a trip to the
New England States and Canadda,
the bride wearing a navy faille.
Summer suit with pink accesso-
ries and a corsage of pink roses.
They will make their home at 250
Lock St.
