- Obituary for Phillip R. James
Phillip R. James, 83, of North Tonawanda, Saturday (October 15, 2022) at home surrounded by family under the care of Niagara Hospice. Phillip was born in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania on March 24, 1939 to Russell and Margaret (Sterner) James. Phillip was a United States Navy Veteran, retired from General Motors Powertrain, active member of Crowsnest Fishing club, avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and spending time in Cuba, New York.
Phillip was predeceased by his wife of 45 years Barbara F. James (Pich), who died in 2021 and sister Rebecca Abbarno, 2013.
Phillip is survived by his children Tracey (Michael) Warning, and Don (Lois) Keller, Sandie (Joe) Kobee, Phillip R. Vernon, Sr. and Susan (Ken) Seth, grandfather of Jammie (Ken) Horn, Michael Warning, Jr.; Lindsay (Charles, Jr.) Sanfilippo, Carlos Keller, Brittany (Justin) Thomas, Chelsea Kobee, Phillip Vernon, Jr, and Nicholas Seth, great grandfather of Zachary, Andrew, Nolan, and Olivia Horn, Michael Dahlman, Charles Sanfilippo, III, Henry and Josephine Sanfilippo, also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Wattengel Funeral Home , 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 PM.
