A brain hemorrhage at her
home yesterday resulted in the
death of Mrs. Robert G.
Metzinger, 85 Warren Ave., a 36-
year-old Kenmore mother of
seven children.
Mrs. Metzinger was stricken
in the basement of her home,
where she received first aid
from Kenmore Volunteer
firemen. But she was dead on
arrival at Kenmore Mercy
Hospital.
A member of the Altar and
Rosary Society at St. Paul's
Church, Mrs. Metzinger also
was a member of the Ladies
Auxiliary 150 of the Knights of
St. John. She was a popular
visitor at the State School for
Retarded Children at West
Seneca, where she spread cheer
among the pupils, including one
of her sons.
Mrs. Metzinger was the
former Virginia Beiter,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs Lawrence
J. Beiter. She was a
graduate of St. Paul's School
and Mt. St Mary Academy.
Before her marriage on July 25,
1953, she was a member of the
Columbus McKinnon Chain
Corp. secretarial staff in Tonawanda.
Survivors include her husband,
Mr. Metzinger; her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Beiter; her
children, Darlene A., Robert G.
Jr., James J , Daniel W ,
Donald D . Michael W. and Julie
Ann Metzinger; also three
brothers, Alfred L , Kenneth W.
and Francis H. Beiter.
Prayers will be said at 9 a.m.
Saturday at the Wm A, Rolling
Funeral Home, 3000 Delaware
Ave., Kenmore, before a
Requiem Mass at 9 15 at St.
Paul's Church. Burial will be in
Mt Olivet Cemetery.
