MARTHA J. (PUGLISI) MCNAMARA LAUER
COOK, DRUGSTORE CLERK
Martha J. Lauer, 69, a former cook and drugstore clerk, died Saturday (Nov. 20, 1999) in her home after a brief illness.
Born Martha Puglisi in Niagara Falls, she attended local schools.
She worked as a cook at the former Scalzo's Restaurant on Falls Street for many years and later was a clerk at Saraceni's Drug Store.
She enjoyed traveling and Southwestern art.
She was the widow of John S. McNamara and John P. Lauer.
Survivors include her dear friend, Thomas Lawrie; two sons, Steve McNamara of Greeley, Colo., and John McNamara; three daughters, Debi McLaughlin of Denver, Janine Nichele and Margaret Lapp; five stepsons, John of Las Vegas, Marty of West Seneca, Timothy of Lewiston, Kevin of the Town of Niagara and David; three stepdaughters, Colleen Barone of Milwaukee, Maureen Spaccone and Marybeth Campbell; a brother, Anthony Puglisi of Lewiston; three sisters, Grace Nalbone of Seattle, Virginia Rusella of Detroit and Margaret Bellina; 26 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 2486 Grand Ave., after prayers at 8:45 in Spallino-Amigone Funeral Home, 1300 Pine Ave.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
