SPARKOWICZ - Josephine
(nee Belczak) Sparkowicz of
450 Oliver St., North
Tonawanda, Tuesday (Dec. 21,
1971) at Kenmore Mercy
Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Poland, Mrs.
Sparkowicz resided in North
Tonawanda for over 60 years,
and owned and operated the
Sparkowicz Restaurant on
Oliver Street, for over 50 years.
Wife of the late Anthony
Sparkowicz; she is survived by
her daughter, Mrs. Charles
(Stella) Murphy; a granddaughter,
Mrs. Aloyes
(Geraldine) Lemanski and four
great-grandchildren, Alan
Jacqueline, Timothy and
Charles Lemanski, all of North
Tonawanda; also survived by a
sister, Mrs. Walter (Lottie)
Helinski of North Tonawanda
and three brothers, Stanley of
North Tonawanda, Leon and
Ludwik Belczak, both living in
Poland; several nieces and
nephews; sister of the late Mrs.
Frank (Mary) Rudzinski, Felix
and Joseph Belczak.
Friends may call from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Skomski
Funeral Home, 549 Oliver St.,
North Tonawanda, where
services will be held Friday at
9:30a.m., followed by a Mass of
the Resurrection from Our
Lady of Czestochowa Church at
10 a.m., the Rev. Chester F.Kotkiewicz
officiating. Burial in
Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
