of Air. and Mrs. Howard Peck, of
Benton, and George Bellis, son of
Mr, and Mrs. Claude Bellis, of Gor-
ham. were united in marriage by.
the Rev. Erwin Bennett, at Meth
odist parsonage in Benton, at 12:30
o'clock.-. Saturday afternoon, June;
28.
They were attended by Miss Ruth
Hansen, of Benton, and Henry Co-
veil, of Milo.
The bride was attired in a dress
of navy blue lace with picture hat
of white, and blue and white acces-;
sories; corsage of pink and white;
rosebuds. Miss Hansen wore a dress
of dusty rose silk with pink picture
hat and white accessories. Her cor
sage was yellow and white rose
buds.
The bride is a graduate of Penn
Yan Academy, class of 1935, and the
groom attended school at Gorham
The couple left for a wedding trip
to the Thousand Islands and other
places of interest. Upon their returr
they will reside at Benton Center.
Prenuptial events included a
kitchen shower by Mrs. Henry Han
Sen and daughters, Ruth and Ber
nice, at their home in Benton; lin
en shower by Mrs. Arden Angell and
the Misses Margaret and Betty Murphy,
at the Angell home in Gor
ham; variety shower by Mrs. Louise
Bishop and* daughter, Mrs. Susan
Stetzel, at the former's home in
Benton; variety shower by Mrs.
Herman Bellis and Mrs. Claude Bel
lis at the former's home in Penn
Yan; Mrs. Charles Clow, of Gene,
va, entertained several friends of
the bride with a treasure hunt
which led her to a handsome piece
of furniture placed in a car at Sen
ooa Lake Park.
