A reception for 300 guests was held at the'Park Hotel following
the marriage of Miss Grace Marie Gardner, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. George Gardner. 756 Walnut St., to Lawrence Robert
Budde. son of Mrs. Ella Buckle of Burt and Edward Budde of
Johnson Creek, solemnized Saturday in the rectory of St. John's
Church, Lockport.

of vart-colored mums decorated the
rectory for the wedding
SLIPPER SATIN ENSEMBLE
Gowned in ivory slipper s a t in
trimmed with Chantllly lace, the
bride carried a shower bouquet of
white roacs. Long sleeves pointed
at the wrists and illusion neckline
featured the fitted bodice, with the
full skirt draped Into a cathedral
train highlighted by large scallops
edged in lace. Her veil of French
illusion was caught to a crown-
shaped headdress.
The maid of honor, Miss Rita
Frombgen of Lockport, favored a
gold satin gown styled with full
skirt and square neckline with
folds across the shoulders forming
cap sleeves. She also wore a braid-
ed headband and elbow-length
gauntlets made with large cuffs. A
similar ensemble in royal blue was
worn by the bridesmaid. Mrs. Rob-
ert J. O'Reilly, also of Lockport.
Miss Frombgen carried an arrange-
ment of blue roses, and Mrs.
O'Reilly selected gold roses.
Gordon E. Budde of Burt acted
as best man for his brother with
the bride's brother, George A.
Gardner, ushering. The bride's
nephew, Richard A. Seekins, served
as page.
A cocoa brown suit dress, cocoa
brown hat trimmed in Kelly green
and Kelly green accessories were
worn by the mother of the bride.
Her corsage was of yellow roses.
Mrs. Budde, mother of the groom,
was clad in a burgundy wine vel-
vet ensemble with matching ac-
cessories and white rose corsage.
WEDDING BREAKFAST
At a wedding breakfast preced-
ing the reception 14 were seated
at the bridal table with bouquets of
mums and a three-tier wedding
cake forming the decorations. Cor-
sages of white gardenias were worn
by Mrs. Raymond Seekins, Lock-
port, Mrs. Lois Maxwell, Burt, and
Miss Margaret Lanighan, Lockport,
while assisting at the reception.
Out-of-town friends were present
from Chicago, Buffalo, Niagara
Falls, Middleport, Wilson, Newfane
and Olcot.
For traveling to Washington the
bride wore a red plaid suit with
matching plaid Scottie hat, black
coat with plaid collar and cuffs,
and black accessories. Her corsage
was of white gardenias. The
couple will make their home on
Dorchester Road in Farmlngdale
The bride is a graduate of Lockport
8enior High School and the
groom attended Newfane Central
School. He served for 15 months
with the UB. Army Air Corps In
the Pacific theater
Pre-nuptial events included: A
dinner given by the office staff of
the New York State Electric and
Oas Corporation; a punch party and
variety shower by Miss Rita
Frombgen; towel shower by Mrs.
Harold Kelley and Miss Betty Roontey.
