RANSOMVILLE. June 25.-Miss
Janet Eleanor Benedict, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Roy A. Benedict, and
Mr.; William Pressley Welch, III,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Pressley Welch,
of Selma, Ala., were united in marriage
on Sunday,'June 30, at 4:30
o'clock at the First Baptist church,
Pittsburgh, Pa., Dr. L. B. Moseley
officiating,
The bride, given.in marriage by
her father, was gowned in white
satin with fingertip veil of French
illusion and carried a colonial bouquet
of white carnations. Miss
Frances 'Benedict was her sister's
maid of honor and her dress was
of pink taffet& and she carried a
colonial bouquet of pink carnations.
Mr. Ray Witzke was best man.
.- The organist was Mr. Alan Floyd.
Preceding the ceremony, "Because"
was'sung by Mrs. Loyal D. Palmer
and during the ceremony she sang,
"The Lord's Prayer." Following the
ceremony a reception was "held at
the University club.
For traveling, the bride chose
champagne shantung suit and accessories
with an orchid corsage.
After a trip to Bermuda, Mr. and
Mrs. Welch: will be at home at 333
Morewood street, Pittsburgh, Pa.
. Guests Included Mr. and Mrs.
Pressley Welch, Mr. Nat Welch, of
Montgomery, Ala., brother of the
groom; Mr. and Mrs. George Sausele
of Richmond Hill, L. I.; Mr.
and Mrs. Roy A. Benedict, Miss
Mary Benedict; Mrs. Dayton Hardison,
Mr. Denton Hardison, of Ransomville;
Mr. and Mrs. Cameron
