The marriage of Miss Laurena Ann
Lacy, daughter of Mr. Carlos Chipman
Lacy, this city, and the late Mr.
Lacy, to Mr. ,Johrr Howard Ritter,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Burr Howard
Ritter, this city, will take place to-
day at 4 o'clock at St. Peter's epis-
copal church. The Rev. John S.
Taylor, Pittsburgh, Pa. uncle of
the bridegroom-elect, will officiate
at the double-ring ceremony.
Palms and baskets of white glad-
oli and delphiniums will decorate
the altar. James Barnes Lacy,
brother of the bride-elect, will light
the altar tapers preceding the cere-
mony.
Mrs. Mary Carolyn Neff will play
the organ prelude accompanying
Mr. Francis Fessenden in the sing-
ing of "The Lord's Prayer" as a
part of the wedding service.
Miss Lacy will be escorted to the
altar by Mr. Henri B. Vidal, Buf-
falo. She will be given in marriage
by her mother. Miss Lacy will wear
a gown of white embroidered or-
gandy featuring a V neckline with
cap sleeves edged with lace. Her
bouffant skirt will be of floor
length. Her fingertip veil of im-
ported illusion will fall from a
halo bonnet of Flemish lace. She
will carry a cascade bouquet of
white glorified gladioli.
Miss Barbara Wicker, Lewiston,
will be maid of honor. She will
wear maise marquisette with deep
tucked groupings and a Peter Pan
collar.
The bridemaids will be Mrs. A.
Letcher Jones, Cleveland, O., Miss
Marilyn Howell Snyder and Mrs.
Charles Nordin Ritter, this city.
Each will wear a gown of blue del-
phinium organdy, fashioned on the
same lines as that worn by the
maid of honor. Each will wear a
cascade bouquet of delphinium and
yellow marquerites.
Mr. Charles Nordin Ritter, broth-
er of the bridegroom-elect, will be
best man. The ushers will be
Mr. James Sconce, this city; Mr.
John P. Edwards, Lewiston, and
Mr. Ralph P. Anderson, Pittsburgh,
Pa., cousin of the bridegroom-elect.
At the wedding reception which
will be held after the ceremony in
the gardens of the Lacy home, Mrs.
Lacy will wear a classic gown of
chartreuse chiffon with full flow-
ing ankle-length skirt and draped
bodice and a large white hat with
violet veiling. She will wear a
corsage of pansy orchids. Mrs.
Ritter will wear an ankle-length
gown of mauve chiffon with match-
ing hat. She will wear orchids.
Assisting in the wedding recep-
tion in the gardens will be Mrs.
John Albiston, Alfred; Mrs. Albert
M. Rooker, Mrs. Alfred Hopton,
Miss Joyce Nutting, this city; Mrs.
George M. Wicker, Lewiston; Miss
Olma Hamjy, Utica, and Mrs. James
P. Taylor, East Aurora.
Miss Lacy has chosen for travel
a smartly-tailored maise suit with
brown accessories and Panama hat
with corsage of orchids. After an
Eastern motor trip, Mr. Ritter and
his bride will reside at 751 Seventh
street.
