Noreen Mack, formerly of Lewiston Heights and Youngstown, died Aug. 8, 2003, in Branford, Conn. She was 88.
She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her father, Henry C. Macaulay, was the first mayor of Dawson City, Yukon Territory, during the 1902 gold rush.
In 1939, she married John F. Ross, an executive with Moore Business Forms. They relocated from Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Kansas City, Mo., and Denton, TX, before settling in Lewiston in 1958. Ross died three years later.
She married construction executive Henry Mack of Youngstown in 1962. They were active members of Niagara Falls Country Club and Youngstown Yacht Club until his death in 1991.
Mrs. Mack, who was proud of her Canadian heritage, was a golfer, designer, jewelry maker and opera enthusiast.
Survivors include a son, Randolph Ross of Danville, Calif.; a daughter, Susan Ross of Easton, Conn.; a stepdaughter, Gretchen Greene of Youngstown; two stepsons, Christopher of Gansevoort and George of Skidaway Island, S.C.; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Sept. 13 in St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 218 Hinman St., Youngstown
