Terms of the will provided for
burial, in a sky-blue dress, in a
plot in Oakwood Cemetery, next
to her husband. Two friends,
Frederick and Elizabeth Hammett,
9004 Stephenson Ave., were left
$100 each.
A sister, Elizabeth Goodwin,
310 73rd St., was willed a cash
bequest of $500, a diamond ring
and personal effects.
Mrs. Bender also willed $1,000
to a sister, Madgie Byrne and her
husband, Dennis Byrne, both of
Ireland.
Also left $1,000 each were William
Buckley, a brother, Cork, Ireland,
the American Cancer Society,
Niagara County Unit, the Niagara
County Chapter of the American
Heart Assn.
Shire to Church
'Mrs. Bender also left $500 to
St. John De LaSalle Roman Catholic
Church for masses for the repose
of her soul and $500 for the
repose of her husband's soul. A
$500 bequest was also left to Sister
Superior of the Sisters of St.
Joseph of the Convent of St. John
de LaSalle Church.
The residuary estate was left one
half each to St. Mary of the Isle
Convent, Skarman Crawford, City
of, Cork, which Mrs. Bender attended
as a young lady and to
St.'. Peter and Paul Church, City of
Cork. The religious institutions
were all asked to offer masses for
the repose of the souls of Mr. and
Mrs. Bender.

Mrs. Mary M. Bender. 65. died
at 7:40 a. m. today (April 29.
1958) at her residence, 138 78th
St., after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Bender, who was born in
Ireland, had lived here for the
last 45 years. She was a member
of the Ahar and Rosary Society
of St. John de LaSalle Church.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth
Goodwin, this city; a brother,
Michael Buckley, Buffalo; two
brothers and a sister living in
Ireland.
Funeral services will be held at
the Lane Funeral Home at 9:15
a. m. Friday and at St. John de
LaSalle Church at 9:30 a. m.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Friends may call after noon,
Wednesday.
