United at Sanborn United
Methodist Church were Miss
Jane Ann Daly and Kenneth
N. Sherwood when they repeated
nuptial vows during
a 7 p.m. double-ring ceremony
on Saturday, July 5,
1969. The Rev. Floyd Gotjen
officiated at the candlelight
rite.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward J.
Daly of 5830 Townline Road,
Sanborn, are parents of the
bride and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Sherwood, 5412 Baer Road,
Sanborn.
The bride was given in
marriage by her father. She
was gowned in a peau de
soie A-line dress with watteau
train. Rosepoint lace
trimmed the kabuki sleeves,
skirt, bodice, and train. Her
headpiece was formed by a
forward effect of lace petals
accented with pearls and
crystals holding a bouffant
veil. The bride carried a
cascade of white miniature
carnations centered with
yellow carnations and stephanotis.
Miss Barbara Broeker,
maid of honor, was attired
in a rule green chiffon gown
with long fitted sleeves and
ruffles at the cuffs and neckline.
Satin ribbon trimmed
the empire bodice. She wore
a bouffant veil and carried
a yellow daisy and baker
fern bouquet.
Miss Joyce Messersmith,
Miss Faye Olds, Miss
Sharon Brown and Miss Barbara
Daly, bridesmaids,
wore gowns in the same
style as that of the honor attendant
but of maize chiffon.
Their bouquets held
green daisies.
Miss Tammy Treichler
as flower girl wore a nile
green dress and carried yel-,
low daisies in a basket.
Douglas Sherwood was ringbearer.
Gordon Whitbeck served
as best man. Ushers
were Robert Hoover, Donald
Sherwood, Jack Carew and
William Sherwood Jr.
A reception took place at
the Red Coach Inn, Niagara
Falls.
When returning from a
trip to the Pocono Mountains
of Pennsylvania, the
newlyweds plan to live at
6892 Sy Road, Niagara
Falls.
