Services for J o s e p h E.
Giguere, 68, retired Carborundum
Co. employe, will be held
at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday at the
Grimes Funeral Home and at
9 a.m. at St. Leo's Church.
Mr. Giguere, of Edgewood
Dr., Town of Niagara, suffered
a heart attack and died
late Saturday (April 11, 1959)
while visiting his son, Bertrand
Giguere. at Aurora, Ill.,
A native of Quebec, Que.,
Mr. Giguere had lived in this
area since 1927. A member of
the Carborundum 25-year-club,
he had retired after 27 years
of service. He was also a
member of the Holy Name Society
of St. Leo's Church.
Surviving in addition to his
son are his wife,' Mrs. Yvonne
Coulombe Giguere; four other
sons, Roland Giguere, Town
of Niagara; Lucian Giguere,
North Tonawanda; Armand
Giguere, Jackson, Mich., and
Ernest Giguere, Grants, N.M.;
two brothers, Charles Giguere,
Montreal, Que., and Athanouse,
Giguere, Lake Megantic,
Que.; five sisters, Mrs. Roseanna
Goupil", this city; Mrs.
Euphrozine Grenier, Montreal;
Mrs; Amanda Grenier, Montreal;
Mrs. Armina Coulombe
and Mrs. Albina Grenier, both
of Lake Megantic, and eight
grandchildren.
Burial will be in Gate of
Heaven Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited
at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral
home.
