A lovely wedding took place In
St. Patrick's church at 9 o'clock
this morning when Miss Margaret
Mary McCroskey daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John McCluskey of 777
S t Lawrence avenue was united in
marriage to L. A. O. Arnold David
McAdorey, of the RCAF. Anclenne
Lorette. Quebec, son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. John McAdorey of
this city. The altar was decorated
with a profusion of spring flowers,
banked with palms and ferns. The
guest pews were designated with
white satin ribbon bows. The ceremony
was performed by the Rev.
Father Hugh Austin. O. Carm.
The bride who was given in marriage
by her father wore a beautiful
white chiffon, gown made with
a full skirt, long full sleeves, shirred
bodice, with white corded silk embroidered
on the front Peter Pan
collar. She wore a finger tip length
veil caught, with orange blossoms
and carried a bouquet of red roses
and baby's breath tied with white
tulle. Her only jewelry was a gold
cross and chain.
Miss Frances McCluskey, sister of
the bride who was the maid of honor
was gowned In shell pink net
over taffeta, made on princess lines,
.buttoned at the back from the neck
to the waist line, full skirt, puffed
sleeves/ caught with heaven blue
bows. She wore a shoulder length
blue veil caught with pink sweet
peas. She carried a colonial bouquet
of pink rosebuds and sweet
peas tied with heaven blue ribbon.
The best man was; Robert M.
McAdorey, of Toronto. The ushers
were William J. McAdorey, brother
of the groom and John A.
McCluskey, brother of the bride.
Mrs. George Bradley played the
wedding music. During the signing
of the register, Mrs. Eric Ballamy
sang "Ave Maria."
Following the ceremony a wedding
breakfast was held at the
home of the bride's parents. Covers
were laid for 35 guests at a table
covered with a white damask cloth
centered with pink roses and sweet
peas and a four tiered wedding
cake. At either ends of the table
were silver candelabra with pink
and white tapers. The rooms were
decorated with a variety of spring
flowers. A reception was held this
afternoon from 2 until 4 o'clock.
The table was covered with a lace
cloth and centered with a minature
bride and groom over which a small
airplane was suspended from the
ceiling.
Mrs. McCluskey, mother of the
bride wore a navy blue sheer gown
made Redingote style with .matching
accessories and corsage of Talisman
roses. Mrs. Harold Henry, sister of
the groom, who received with the
bridal party was gowned in dusty
rose crepe with blue accessories and
corsage of sweet peas. The bride
and groom left on a wedding trip
to Quebec, where they will make
their home. The bride wore a Redingote
suit of Heaven blue silk crepe
with navy accessories and corsage of
gardenias. Guests were present from
Niagara Falls. N. Y., Brantford,
Toronto, Boston, Mass, Hamilton
and Welland.
