Mr. and Mrs. Bishara William Bishara, Ontario Ave,
announce the engagement of Iheir daughter, Grace,. to
Richard Fred Aswad, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Aswad,
also of Ontario Ave.
Observing a tradition of their religion, Miss Bishara and
Mr. Aswad had their rings blessed by the Rev. Gabriel Sulhancy,
pastor of the St. George Syrian Greek Orthodox
Church. The rite was performed at the residence of the
future bride's parents and was followed by a family dinner at
the Red Coach Inn.
Miss Bishara is a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.
Her fiance is an alumnus of Niagara University and served
two years in the U. S. Navy. The wedding will take place in
the near future.

were united in matrimony in a
double-ring rile yesterday (Feb.
10, 1957) at 3 p.m. at the St.
George Syrian-Greek Orthodox
Church.
The Rev. Gabriel Salhany officiated
at the ceremony between
Miss Grace Bishara,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bis-
hara William Bishara, Ontario
Ave., and the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Aswad, also of Ontario
Ave..
Miss Lillian Garabedian was
soloist and Mrs. Eva Vosburgh
was organist.
Belgian lace, enhanced with
seed pearls, fashioned the bodice
and pcplum of-the bride's wedding
gown, styled with a bouf-.
fant skirt falling into a sweep
train. Her fingertip-length veil,
edged with seed pearls, was
caught to a pleated tulle and
lace headpiece and she carried a
colonial bouquet of white roses
centered with a white orchid.
Aqua lace sheath dresses
topped with- nylon tulle overskirts
were worn by the bridal
attendants, Miss Theodosia Pou-
los, maid of honor; Mrs. Joseph
Williams and Miss Elaine Sorour.
attendants; Miss Judith
Bishara, sister of the bride,
junior bridesmaid, and Noreen
Aswad, flower girl. Miss Poulos..
carried a heart-shaped bouquet
of yellow roses while the attendants
carried red roses. A
basket of assorted spring flowers
was carried by the flower
girl.
Alfred Aswad served as best
man for his brother. The ushering
duties were performed by
Sam Aswad, William Bishara
and Albert Fadel. Frederick
Aswad was the ring bearer.
Guests were received at the
dinner and reception, at Hotel
Niagara by Mrs. Bishara in a
beige silk and Italian lace dress
with matching accessories. Dusty
rose Chantilly lace fashioned the
drcssby the bridegroom's
mother, who selected matching
accessories. Each wore ail orchid.
corsage.
For traveling, the bride favored
a red suit with white and
black accessories, and a white
orchid corsage. Mr. and Mrs.
Aswad will reside on Grand
Island.
