Mr, and Mrs, Kenneth Bixler of
130 Juniper St., announce the engagement
of their daughter, Sally
Jean to Bruce Harden, son of
Mr and Mrs. William Harden of
Lenoir. N. C.

A ballerina length gown of white
taffeta, fitted bodice, bolero Jacket
and double net skirt, with a shoulder
length veil of illusion caught
to a cap of lace was worn by Sally
Jean Bixler when she became the
bride of Bruce Leonard Harden.
March 1, at First English Lutheran
Church. The Rev. Ivan L.
Lunge officiated at the ceremony
at 4 o'clock. To complete her
costume, she wore white taffeta
gauntlets and carried a Colonial
bouquet of white roses and pompons.
The bride ia the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Kenneth Bixler, 130 Juniper
St., Lockport, and the groom
the son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Harden of Lenoir, N. C.
Her maid of honor was Mary
Ellen Stauder, 190 Gooding St., who
close a lavender t a f f e t a dress
with het skirt fashioned like that
of the bride: heart shape halo hat
of matching lace, and lavender
gauntlets. Her Colonial bouquet
Was made of yellow roses and
pompons.
The best man Was Kenneth Bixler,
brother of the bride, and the
ushers were Donald and Frank
Seller, cousins of the bride.
Mrs. Bixler chose a dress of
aqua crepe with black accessories
and a corsage of yellow roses and
carnations for her daughter's wedding.
The bride's grandmother,
Mrs. Frank Irving was among the
g u e s t s , and were a navy blue
crepe drees and a corsage of pink
carnations. The church was decorated
with stock, snapdragon and
carnations.
Following the ceremony, a reception
was held at the home of the
bride's parents where 106 guests
were served from a table centered
with a three-tiered wddlng cak
topped with a miniature bride an
groom.
For traveling, the bride chose
a maroon suit with black accessories
and a corsage of white and
pink roses and carnations. The
bridal pair is residing at the
home of the bride's parents.
