The Weak land Chapel was setting
for the wedding Oct. 28th of
Miss Norma Virginia Whitmore
and Donald Lee Annis. The newlyweds
who exchanged rings before
Rev. John Betty Weakland
Bixby are making their home at
East Newland Avenue, Jamestown.
Their parents are Mr. and
Mrs. James A. Whitmore, Falcner,
and Mr. and Mrs. Percy
C. Annis of 6 East Newland Ave.
Miss Bonnie Bixby was wedding
musician
Attending the couple were Miss
Sharon Whitmore, the bride's
sister, in a gown of blue lace
over satin of similar fashion to
the bridal gown, and Rowland
G. Annis, the bridegroom's broth
er, of the U. S. Navy. Ushers were
Dale Dickerson and James Whitmore
Jr., brother of the bride.
Miss Whitmore carried a nosegay
of red roses and forget-me-nots.
As she was given in marriage
by her father, the bride carried
orchids cresting a white Bible
arranged -with streamers of for -
get-me-nots. Her street length
gown of white lace over satin
had a sweetheart neckline and
short sleeves. Completing her ensemble
was a fingertip veil cascading
from a pearl crown.
For her daughter's wedding
Mrs. Whitmore wore a blue silk
dress and corsage of carnations
and forget-me-nots. Mrs. Annis
chose a dark beige lace over satin
frock with similar corsage.
Corsages were also presented
to grandmothers, Mrs. Benjamin
Van Allen and Mrs. Lillie Thom-
as.
