Mr. and Mrs William A. Cowan,
of Pierce avenue, announce the engagement
of their daughter, Mary
Allison, to Mr. Frederick . George
Blackwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. John
Blackwell. of this city. The wedding
will take place Saturday,
April 12, at 2 pjn., in the Epiphany
church, with the Rev. David H.
Weeks officiating. A reception for
the Immediate families will be held
from 2:30 to 6 o'clock at the home
of the bride's parents.

A lovely spring wedding was solemnised
Saturday afternoon at 2
o'clock in the Epiphany Episcopal
church by the Rev. David H. Weeks,
when Miss Mary Allison Cowan was
united in marriage to Mr. Frederick
George Blackwell.
The bride, who was given in marriage
by her father, entered the
church to the familiar organ strains
of the Lohengrin Wedding March
played by Mr. Frederic Bayne.
The bride wore a gown of white
marquisette cut on princess lines,
its full skirt forming a graceful
train. Her veil of lace was held In
place by a beaded tiara and she
carried a bridal bouquet of calla
lilies.
Miss Edna Mclntyre, maid of honor,
wore a floor-length chiffon gown
of chartreuse with orchid accessories
and carried a bouquet of yellow
roses.
Mr. William Cowan, brother of the
bride, was best man and the ushers
were Mr. Raymond Koske and Mr.
Walter Cowan.
The bride's mother wore a gown
of powder blue with black accessories
and a corsage of white gardenias.
The bridegroom's mother wore navy
blue with white accessories and a
corsage of white gardenias.
After the ceremony a reception
was held at the home of the bride
for the immediate families and
friends.
