SANDY CREEK-Harold F.
Blaine, 69, of 8208 Salisbury St.,
in Sandy Creek, died Tuesday
evening at the House of the
Good Samaritan in Watertown
where he had been a patient for
the past three months.
Born Jan. 25, 1907 in
Syracuse, the son of the late
Fred and Harriet Davey
Blaine, he was educted in
Syracuse schools. Mr. Blaine
was a veteran of World War
Two where he served for the U.
S. Navy.
He was married on June 2,
1956 to the former Helen Martin
Farmer in Canton. He had been
a resident of Sandy Creek since
1956. Mr. Blaine was formerly
employed by Hall Ski-Lift
Company in Watertown,
retiring in 1969. He was a lay
speaker for Sandy Creek and
Orwell Methodist Church and
the Christ Church Parish.
He was a member of the
United Methodist Church in
Sandy Creek, Robert Edward's
American Legion Post No. 358
in Pulaski, Sandy Creek Lodge
No. 564 F&AM, the Tigris
Shrine Temple in Syracuse and
an exempt member of the
Sandy Creek Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife, Helen,
a daughter, Miss Patricia
Blaine of Alfred and one sister,
Mrs. Sedly Aspin of Bradenton,
Florida.
Services will be held
Saturday at 2 p. m. at the
Summerville Funeral Home in
Sandy Creek. The Rev. Allan
Dickerson, pastor of the
Fernwood Methodist Church
will officiate. Burial will be in
Minoa Cemetery with military
honors.
Calling hours will be today
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. at the
funeral home. Masonic ser
