- David Duncan, 75, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, July 28th, 2017 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Golden and Virginia (Blair) Duncan.
Dave attended local schools including Niagara Falls High School. On September 23, 1967, he married his beloved wife, Sandy (Lewis) Duncan, at the United Presbyterian Church in Niagara Falls. He was employed for over 31 years at General Abrasive prior to his retirement.
David was a longtime member of the Franklinville Conservation Club. He also served as a Volunteer Firefighter with the Town of Niagara Active Hose Company for many years. Dave was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all, he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, Dave is survived by his son Brian (Jennifer) Duncan and was predeceased by one son David Duncan. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Samantha (Charles Stayton) Kerrison, Brian Duncan, Bianca Duncan and Goldie Duncan; great-grandchildren, Trinity, Charlie and Naomi-Lynn; brothers, Kenneth (Donna) Duncan, Michael (Linda) Duncan; his four-legged friend, Rusty; as well as many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by one brother John Duncan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 1st from 5 – 7:30 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will follow at 7:30 P.M.
