Ethelyn Marjorie to Mr. George:
Melvin Reed, son of the late Mr.
and Mrs.' Earl Cholby Reed of
Monticello, N. Y.
The wedding will take place in
the Free Methodist Church of
Rochester, on the nineteenth of
June.
The bride is a senior in the New
York State College for Teachers,
at Buffalo.
The groom, an overseas veteran,
is the assistant manager of the
Monticello Super Market.

Miss Ethelyn M. Blowers, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Milton C.
Blowers, of Caledonia, N. Y., and
George M. Reed, of Monticello, assistant-
manager of the A & P
Super Market here,'were united In
marriage In. the Free Methodist
Church, Union and Richmond
Streets, Rochester, N. Y., on Saturday
afternoon, June 19th. The
ceremony was performed by the
Rev. Lyle W. Donnelly, assisted by
the bride's uncles, Rev. Stanley L.
Blowers, of Gloversville, arirj Rev.
Walter Janowsky, of Alleghaney.
The bride wore a gown of white
°silk crepe, made from material
which was brought from Japan by
her brother Lawrence, and a fingertip
veil. She carried a bouquet of
orchids, delphiniums and lily Of
the valley.
Miss Genevive Blowers was maid
of honor for her sister and wore a
gown of blue organdy with white
accessories. The bridesmaids, Miss
Louise Blowers, sister of the bride,
Mrs. Earl Reed, of Monticello, and
Mrs. Raymond Reed, of paterson,
N. J., were dressed alike in rose
taffeta with white accessories. Miss
Lynette Blowers, junior bridesmaid,
wore pink taffeta with white ac-
cessories. Flower girls Patty Reed,
of Paterson, Shari and Kirsten
Boyd, of Buffalo, wore pink taffeta
and carried nosegays. Raymond
Titcomb of North Troy, and Steph-
en Blowers of Gloversville carried
the minister's books.
Milton Reed, of Monticello,
brother of the groom, was best
man. Ushers were the bride's bro-
thers. Eldon, Lester and lawrence
Blowers, and the groom's brothers,
Earl and Raymond Reed.
Rev. Everett P. Blowers, of Duke
Center, Pa. sang "The Lord's Pray-
er" during the ceremony, and Mr.
Stuart Bawtenheim of Buffalo
sang "Because" and "O Promise
Me".
A reception for one hundred rel-
atives and friends was held at the
home of the bride's parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Reed enjoyed
a two week honeymoon trip which
included Niagara Falls, Canada,
Watkin's Glen, Johnstown, Pa.,
Washington, D. C., and parts of
Virginia. They will make their home
in Monticello and Mrs. Reed will
be a teacher in the Monticello
Grade School next year.
