OLCOTT-Mrs. Alta Nicholas, 58, of 5790 Main
St., this community, died Monday (Feb. 28, 1966) at
Inter-Community Memorial Hospital at Newfane after
suffering an apparent heart attack.
Born Aug. 10, 1907 in
Cambria, the daughter of
Otis and Mary Bluhm Murray,
."he was m a r r i e d in
1927 to Floyd Snackle who
was killed while in military
service in World War II.
In 1946 she m a r r i e d T.
Harry Nicholas who died in
January of 1962.
Mrs. Nicholas was a member
of the Oicott Methodist
Church, the OlcoU Ladies
Community Auxiliary and
Chapter 743, Order of Eastern
Star.
Surviving are four sisters,
Mrs. V i c t o r Silverrole,
Buffalo, Mrs. Raymond
Holzman, Olcott, Mrs. Cleberg
Payne, Appleton, and
Mrs Marie Murray Imperi
al Beach, Calif.; five
brothers, Walter, William
and Floyd of Olcott. Har-

Friends may call at Rutland-
Corwin Funeral Heme,
Newfane, where the family
will be p resent from 2-5 and
7-9 p.m. Services will be
conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday
by Rev. Philip Mitchell
of'the O l c o t t Methodist
Church. Burial will be in
Cold S p r i n g s Cemetery,
Lockport.
The Eastern S t a r will
conduct a service al 8:30
p.m. Wednesday at the funeral
home.
