seed pearls and iridescents. The
full silk organza skirt was fashioned
with soft impressed pleats
at the front and back, appliqued

Her veil of fingertip length silk
illusion, imported from France,
was held by a lace capote with
a flat matching organza bow. She
carried a cascade bouquet of
white roses, lilies of the valley
and miniature ivy leaves entwined
with tulle and white ribbon.
The matron of honor and
bridesmaids were identically attired
in ballet blue day length
gowns with Chantilly lace bodices
and short sleeves above parasol
skirts of nylon organza. Narrow
velvet ribbons encircled the
fitted waists. Bandeaux of matching
blue organza with circular
veils completed their costumes.
The flowers of the matron of
honor, Mrs. Kenneth Van Buren,
sister of the bride, were yellow
mums and stephanotis in a cascade
arrangement. Those of the
bridesmaids, the Misses Sylvia
Pickles and Joyce Boetcher, sister
of the groom, were identical
except in blue to match their costumes.
Deborah Lee Barnes, niece of
the bride, was flower girl. She
wore a blue nylon dress with lace
bodice and bouffant skirt and
matching horsehair head bow.
