Miss Ruth Lillian Bodie, daughter
ot Mrs. Veronica Bodie, 71
Douglas St., and Henry Sickeri,
son of David Sickeri a of Brockway,
Pa., were married June 20
at 7 p.m. in Salem Evangelical
and Reformed Church. The Rev.
Walter F. Hetzel performed the
ceremony.
Mrs. Theron Miller was organist
for the ceremony and Theron
Miller, soloist, sang "Because", "If
Love You Truly" and "The Lord's
Prayer."
Given in marriage by her
brother, Sidney Bodie, the bride
wore a gown of white imported
Chantilly lace over satin. Her veil
was fastened to a crown of orange
blossoms and she carried a
cascade bouquet of roses and carnations.
Miss Marilyn Lubs, maid of
honor, wore a strapless gown of
orchid Chantilly lace with watching
lace jacket and a sweetheart-
shaped hat. She carried yellow
roses. Mrs. Alex Leavey,
bridesmaid wore a similar gown
in nile green and carried pink
roses.
Flower girls were the bride's
niece, Cindy Lynn Goff and Judy
Ann Bernasconi. They wore yellow
organdy frocks over white and
carried baskets filled with pink
to match the flowers in their
hair.
Robert Sickeri was his brother's
best man and Alex Leavy and
George Goff were ushers. The
bride's nephew, Larry Bodie, was
the ring bearer.
The bride's mother chose a
checked dress of black and orchid
rayon accented with white accessories
and a corsage of yellow
roses and white carnations.
A reception was given in the
Gastown Sportsman's Club for 150
guests. White tapers flanked the
tiered wedding cake on the bridal
table.
For a wedding trip to Pennsylvania,
the bride traveled in a grey
wool suit, white accessories and
wore a corsage of white carnations.
Mr. and Mrs. Sickeri are at
home in 71 Douglas St.
Pre-nuptial parties for bride
were given by Mrs..Bodie and Mrs.
George Goff, Mrs. Sidney Bodie,
Mrs. James Bodie. Mrs. Fausto
Bernasconi, Kenneth Chase, Mrs.
Alex Leavy and Miss Marilyn
Lubs.
