- Anna Marie (Culotta) Bolea of Crestwood Court, Niagara Falls, passed away on July 9, 2017 while in the loving care of the first floor staff at the Schoellkopf Health Center and with the support of Niagara Hospice. Anna was born in Medina, NY on August 15, 1923, the daughter of the late Cosmo and Josephine (Colletti) Culotta. She was predeceased by her brother John Culotta and sister Marian Goodwin.
During W.W.II, Anna was employed at Harrison Radiator in Lockport. Her job was directly related to the war effort. On the 10thday of November 1945, Anna married Davide Bolea, they were married for 59 years until he passed away. In retirement the couple spent fourteen wonderful winters in Florida and they enjoyed many friendships. Anna's life was about serving God and caring for her family. She was an excellent cook, and she enjoyed gardening. She was an inspiration to all who met her. She especially impacted her grandchildren by the way she lived her life. Her kindness, gentle manner and her wisdom attracted people to her.
Anna is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Margle of DuBois, PA; two sons, David Bolea, Jr (Bonnie) of Southport, NC, and Paul Bolea (Terry) of Wheatfield, NY; brother, Carl Culotta and Nancy Climenhaga of Medina, NY. She was blessed with eight grandchildren, Christopher Margle, Karyn (Margle) Meinert and Tara (Margle) Kramer, Hiede (Bolea) Erickson, Cheryl (Bolea) Maldonado, David M. Bolea, Cori and Matthew Bolea, nine great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Margle, Jeffrey, Jared and Jordon Meinert, Spencer and Maxwell Kramer, Avonlea Cline, Alejandro (Alex) Erickson and Clarissa Maldonado and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 13th from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Leroy Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial offerings may be made to Schoellkopf Health Center 621 10th Street Niagara Falls, NY 14302 or Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Drive Lockport, NY 14094 or a charity of choice.
