Mrs. Louise Van Amburgh, 42 years
old, 622 Fifteenth street, was fatally
Injured late yesterday afternoon when
she was. struck by an automobile
driven by Walter H. Pearl, 340 Seventh
street, while crossing Pine avenue,
near Thirteenth street. She was
taken to Memorial hospital but was
dead upon arrival.
Pearl reported to police that Mrs.
Van Amburgh ran from behind a
parked car directly Into the path of
his automobile. He said that at the
time he was driving at a slow rate of
speed and that his young son, who
was in the car with him, grabbed his
arm and prevented him from stopping
quickly. He was not held..
Mrs. Van Amburgh had been a resident
ot_ Niagara Falls for the past
30 years. She was \ h e widow of Harry
T, Van Amburgh. She is survived by
a daughter, Mrsi Elton .Bonnett, of
Sanborn; two sons, Harvey-and Howard
Stamm, of Red Bank, N. J.,;
two sisters, Mrs. Jacob -Mehl, of this
city, and Mrs. Mary Bonnett, of Ransomvillc;
two brothers, Louis Schelner,
of North Tonawanda,- and John
Schneider, of Erie, Pa., and a granddaughter,
Virginia Bonnett.
Funeral servces will be held at the
Bell funeral chapel, 635 Main,street,
Friday afternoon.
