engagement of their daughter.

Elizabeth Bookhout . and Mr. Edward
Thomas Sales was solemnized
New Year's night at 7 o'clock in
the Calvary Lutheran church, with
the Rev. Alwin Prange officiating.
The holiday decorations in the
church, the soft organ music by
Mrs. Frederick Werth, and the solos
"I Love You .Truly" and M6, Promise
Me", by Mrs. Warren Egloff,
wedding.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John E. Bookhout, of
Maple avenue and was given in
by her father. She wore other
a graceful gown of white silk jersey
designed on Grecian lines. Her
fingertip veil fell from a dainty
Juliet cap, with tiny orange blossoms
at each side. Her bridal
bouquet was of white roses and
orange blossoms.
Mrs. Raymond E. Bookhout, of
Lockport. the matron of honor.
wore a gown whose full skirt, was of
rose taffeta, with torso-length
bodice of matching velvet. Her
halo was fashioned In wine velvet
and her flowers were pink roses
and heather.
Mr. Lester Sales, of Buffalo, was
his brother's best man and the
two brothers of the bride, Mr.
Harry Bookhout and Mr. Raymond
Bookhout, were the ushers.
A reception was held, immediate-
ly after the ceremony, at the home
of the bride's parents, where more
than 100 guests were present.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. William T. Sales. of
Ottawa. Ont.
The mother of the bride wore a
gown of wine velvet, with gold
trim and accessories. Her corsage
was of violets. The mother of the
bridegroom wore a becoming gown
of blue silk Jersey, with wine ac-
cessories. Her corsage was also of
violets.
After a short trip, Mr. and Mrs.
Sales will reside at 1225 Maple
avenue.
