George T. Border, 66, of 46
Hill Place, Tonawanda, was pro-
nounced dead on arrival last
night at DeGraff Memorial Hos-
al after being stricken at his
home with an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Border, who o w n e d
George T. Border painting contractors,
was given first aid by
Tonawanda firemen, who w e re
-called to his home at 6:34 p.m.
A member of St. Francis of
Assisi Church, Tonawanda, he
also was a past grand knight of
Knigts of Columbus Council 413
and a past district warden.
He was also a member of 4th
Degree Knights of Columbus;
Holy Name Society and Ushers
Club of St. Francis Church; Elks
Lodge 860, Niagara Hose Com-
pany and the Tonawanda Ex-
empt Firemen's Association.
Survivors include his wife,,
Ruth Litz Border; a son, Thom-
as G. Border of Tonawanda; a
brother,, Edmund Border of
North Tonawanda and a sister,
Mrs. Donough Lovegrove of Ton-
awanda.
The Creasey Memorial Chapel,
138 Delaware St., Tonawanda, is
in charge of arrangements.
