White flowers were decorations
in Ascension Church,
Oct. 15, for the marriage of
Miss Betty Joan Tooke,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Lloyd Tooke, 401 Evans St.
to Rodney A. Neumann, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Neumann
of 99 Washington St.
The Rev. Francis Hunt officiated.
Given in marraige by her father,
the bride wore a gown of
French tulle and Chantilly lace.
The lace bodice featured a scalloped
neckline wiffi pearls and sequins
scattered through the lace.
Long sleeves with sequin trim
terminated in points over the
hands. The fitted basque waistline
was attached to a bouffant skirt
and bands of lace over satin fell
into a chapel-length train. Her
veil of French* illusion was jtaught
to a queen's crown encrusted with
pearls and sequins. She carried a
bouquet of vhite chrysanthemums
and tiny white pompons with cascades
of ribbon.
Miss Mary Ann Putz, the maid
of honor, a cousin of the bride,
wore a gown of coralberry shade
with velveteen bodice and nylon
net skirt with a flounced hemline.
She wore a matching stole of
draped velveteen and her headpiece
was t winter straw bandeau
in matching color.
Wearing identical costumes of
peacock blue were the bridesmaids,
Miss Carolyn DeNeau and
Miss Patricia Socs. They carried
yellow chrysanthemums and pompons
and the maid of honor carried
white chrysanthemums and
tiny pink pompons.
Junior bridesmaids, Paillette
and Sharon Neumann, the bride
groom's sister, wore peacock blue
gowns and carried yellow chrysanthemums
and pompons.
Dale Neumann attended his
brother as best man. Ushers were
James Tooke, the bride's brother
and James Warblow.
The bride's mother wore a dusty
blue crystalette dress with black
accessories and a corsage of small
white chrysanthemums and pink
rosebuds. A similar corsage was
chosen by the bridegroom's mother
whose dress of lightening blue
crystalette was complemented
with pink accessories.
A reception was given in the
VFW Hall with 400 guests attending.
Decorations were of pink,
white and green. Chrysanthemums
and pink roses adorned the table.
Organ music provided a background.
After touring the Southern
States the couple is at home in
299 Summer St.

Robert Schoenfeldt, Mrs. Wal
