Miss Muriel Gwendolyn McClure,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archibald
McClure of Valley Falls, was married
at 8:30 o'clock last evening in
the Valley Falls Methodist Church
to Charles Frederick White, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Curtis White of Cor-
inth. Rev. Robert B. Leslie per-
formed the ceremony, at which Miss
Doris Barbara McClure was her
sister's maid of honor and Randall
White acted as best man for his
brother.
An organ recital was given before
the ceremony by Mrs. LeRoy
Center, who also played the bridal
chorus from Wagner's "Lohengrin"
and the Mendelssohn Wedding
March. Carl Mattison sang "O
Promise Me," "At Dawning" and 'T
Love You Truly" and spring flowers
and ferns formed the decorations.
An ivory bridal satin gown was
worn by the bride, whose princess
lace veil was caught with orange
blossoms. She carried a sheaf of
calla lilies. The maid of honor was
gowned in shell pink crepe trimmed
with siilver petals. Her cap was of
silver lace and her bouquet was of
pink roses and snapdragons.
A reception and buffet supper were
held at the home of the bride's parents
following the ceremony, with
the parents of the bride and bridegroom
assisting the couple in receiving
the guests. Mr. and Mrs.
White left on a wedding trip to
New York, with the bride traveling
in a bottle green coat and hat
trimmed with beaver, a brown
frock and a beaver muff. They will
be at home after February 15 at
Corinth.
The bride is a graduate of the
Sargent School of Boston University
and Mr. White was graduated
from the Simmons School in Syracuse.
