INTERLAKEN - The Dutch Reformed
Church of Interlaken will
be the scene of the wedding at 7:30
p. m. Jan. 12 of Miss Florence
Mae Braden and Thomas John
Stewart, both of Interlaken.
The Rev. Anthony P. Dykstra,
pastor of the church, will perform
the double ring ceremony at a
candlelight service.
Miss Braden is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Braden of the
Tvtaansburg Rd. Mr. and Mrs.
Bert Stewart of the Cayuga Lake
Rd., are the parents of Mr. Stew-
art.
A 1955 graduate of the Interlaken
Central School, Miss Braden
was also graduated from the
Rochester Business Institute in
1956. She is currently employed
in a store operated by her parents
on Main St., Interlaken.
Mr. Stewart, a 1955 graduate of
Interlaken Central School, is an
employe at the Willard State Hospital.

INTERLAKEN - A gown ol
white brocade, nylon tulle with
pearl and sequin trim on a portrait
neckline, was worn by Miss
Florence Mae Braden of the Trumansburg
Rd., Interlaken, for her
marriage to Thomas John Stewart
of RD Interlaken at 7:30 p. m.
Saturday, in Interlaken Reformed
Church.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr .and Mrs. Leo Braden, of the
Trumansburg Rd. Mr. and Mrs.
Bert Stewart RD Interlaken, are
the bridegroom's parents.
The double ring service wa;
performed by the Rev. Anthony
P. Dykstra, pastor of the church
in a candlelight ceremony. Candelabra
flanked white gladiolus
and white carnations which trimmed
the Communion table before
which the wedding vows were
exchanged.
At the organ, Mrs. Earl Wilson
of Interlaken, reformed Church
organist played the traditional
wedding music. The bride was
escorted to the altar by her father
who gave her in marriage
Gown Described
The gown of the bride was
styled with tight fitting bodice
and long sleeves tapering to a
point over the hands. The bouffant
skirt fell into a chapel train.
A crown of seeded pearls and
sequins held her fingertip veil of
French illusion. She carried a
bride's bouquet of white carnations
and lilies of the valley. Her
only jewelry was a pearl.necklace.
As maid of honor, Miss Brenda
Slocum, of Interlaken, wore a
winter rose taffeta gown, princess
stylo with full-length panel in
the back, and waltz length. She
wore matchinagg hat and mitts with
nylon tulles trim. Her bouquet
was bronze pompons.
The bridesmaids, Miss Celia
Anne Slingerland of Interlaken
and Miss Jean Brush, of Waterloo,
both wore peacock blue
gowns, waltz length with matching
hats and mitts. Rose pompons
were their bouquets.

RaynoIdsville. Ushers were
ot interlaken,
brother of the bridegroom, and
Lee Braden, of Interlaken, the
bride's brother.
Reception Held
A beige taffeta dress was worn
by the bride's mother, with white
accessories and pink sweetheart
roses corsage. The mother of the
bridegroom wore a navy blue
dress with white accessories and
corsage of pink sweetheart roses.
A reception was held following
the ceremony at Cronk's Restaurant,
Interlaken, for 125
guests.
A wedding trip took the couple
to the southern states. The
bride's going away attire was a
light blue knit suit with black
accessories and a corsage of pink
roses,
The bride waa graduated from
Interlaken Central School, d$m
of 1993, and from the Rochester
Business Institute in 1956. She
has been employed for a time-in

Interlaken Central School, the
bridegroom is employed at Willard
State Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart will occupy
a trailer on the Cayuga
Lake Rd.
