A prettty Summer wedding was
solemnised at 8 o'clock Saturday
afternoon, July 18, in the Methodist
Episcopal church, Ransomville,
when Miss Marion Bradley, daugh-
ter of Mr.. and Mrs. Frank Bradey
of the Foster road, became the
bride of Seward Shippy, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Erman Shippy of Youngs-
town. The Rev. Peter Van Duren
pastor of the church, performed the
ceremony.
The church was decorated with
tall baskets of gadioli, snapdrag-
ons, carnations and ferns, the altar
rail being entwined with ferns.
During the ceremony, Mrs. Duane
Shippy of North Ridge sang "O
Promise Me."
To the strains of the Logengrin
wedding march, played by Robbert
R. Clarke, the bride entered on the
arm of her father. She was lovely
in a white satin gown, made on
long lines with a short train and
with a Queen Anne collar with
seed pearls at the neckline. Her
long tulle veil was cap shaped, en-
circled with orange blossoms and
she carried an arm bouquet of
white roses and baby's breath.
Mrs. Grant Martin, sister of the
bride, was matron of honor. She
was attractive in yllow mousse-
line de sole, made on long lines in
jacket effect with a peplum and a
ruffle at the neckline. She wore a
wreath of flowers in her hair and
carried an arm bouquet of yellow
roses and baby's breath.
The bridesmaids, the Misses
Dorothy Canfield and Frances
Lutts, wore gowns made in theh
same style. Miss Canfield wore
pink mousseline de soie, a wreath
of flowers in her hair and carried
an arm bouquet of pink roses and
baby's breath. Miss Lutts was
gowned in orchid mousseine de
soie, a wreath of flowers in her
hair and carried an arm bouquet of
talisman roses and baby's breath.
Nealand Shippy,, brother of the
groom, was the best man. The
ushers were Grant Martin and
Howard Baker.
The mother of the brie was
gowned in flowered crepe. She
wore white accessories and a cor-
sage of pink roses and sweet peas.
The groom's mother was attired in
flowered chiffon with white acces-
sories. Her corsage was of pink
roses and sweet peas.
Following the ceremony, a recep-
tion was hed for 75 relatives and
friens in the church dining room.
The bride's table was centered with
a low silver bowl of yellow snap-
dragons flaned by lighted white
tapers in crystal candelabra. Yellow
basket favors marked each place.
Low bowls of pink and yellow snapdragons
centered the other tables.
The bride's gifts to her matron of
honor and bridesmaids were crocheted
bags and the groom presented
his best man and ushers with
belts.

Bradley and Clara Harbison.
Guests were present from Niagara
Palls, Buffalo, Youngstown,
North Ridge and Canada.
Mr. and Mrs. Shippy left on a
motor trip to the Adlrondacks, Quebec
and the New England states.
The bride traveled in a navy blue
ensemble with white accessories.
On their return, they will make
their home In Youngstown.

A variety shower given by Mr. and
Mrs. Grant Martin; a bathroom
shower given by Mrs. Clarence
Blake: bedroom shower given by
the Misses Nellie Kolloff, Frances
Lutts and Evelyn Lederhouse; a
linen shower given by Miss Frances
Parkhill: a wiener roast and shower
given by the Misses Ruth Carter
Mildred Baker and Dorothy Can-
field: and a shower by the Ladies'
Aid Society of the Presbyterian
church of Youngstown
