Army Veteran of Korean War
Robert P. Schultz, age 85, of Tonawanda, died Friday, October 10, 2014, at Hospice Buffalo after a long illness. Born in Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Edward and Irene (nee Rush) Schultz and had been a lifelong resident of Tonawanda. An Army Veteran of the Korean War, he was employed at American Color in the Town of Tonawanda before retiring. Mr. Schultz was a member of Local 17A Operating Engineers and a life member of the American Legion Tonawandas Post No. 264. He was the husband of the late Fay (nee Colosimo) Schultz, who died in September, and brother of the late Marion Blocher, Mabel Louise Schultz and Marjorie Sommerfeldt.
He is survived by his son, Donald (Kathy Carafella) Schultz; his daughter, Candace (late Mark) Sobotka; and two grandchildren, Jeffrey (Erin) Schwegler and Brandon Schultz. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
There is no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday at St. Francis Chapel, 71 Adam Street, Tonawanda. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to Hospice Buffalo are preferred by the family.
