Salvatore Pietrocarlo

NIAGARA FALLS — Salvatore Pietrocarlo entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 1, 2011, in the care of Niagara Hospice in Lockport, NY, at the age of 88. He was born on June 20, 1922 in Giuliano Di Roma, Italy. He was the son of Giulia and Antonio Pietrocarlo. Beloved husband of the late Lois Pietrocarlo, who predeceased him on January 19, 2001.
Retiring from Airco Spear Carbon Graphite in 1986, he also worked with his brothers Armando and Giuseppe as private contractors. He was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers. Sam enjoyed going to the casino, gardening and playing bocce. He will be sadly missed.
He is survived by two loving children, John Pietrocarlo, Tina (Carl) Schul; three grandchildren, Aurora, Charles, and Victor; four siblings, Amalia (Armando) Leo of Niagara Falls, ON, Armando (Luciana) Pietrocarlo of Niagara Falls, NY, Giovanni (Antonietta) Pietrocarlo of Palm Desert, CA, Vincenzo Pietrocarlo of Niagara Falls, ON; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two siblings, the late Maria (Giovanni) Bove and the late Giuseppe (Delores) Pietrocarlo.
The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the SPALLINO-AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls, where prayers will be said on Friday morning at 8:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Ave. Rev Duane R. Klizek officiating. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends invited.
