NEWFANE - Harold L.
(Hi) Haight, 62, 2086 Lockport-
Olcott Road, died today
(Dec. 27, 1966) in Inter-Community
Memorial Hospital,
where he had been a patient
for three days.
He was born Oct. 30, 1904,
at Barker, a son of Lewis and
Clara Webb Haight. He had
been a farmer in the Barker
and Appleton areas until 1949,
when he started work for
the Town of Newfane water
department, retiring in November.
Mr. Haight married Florence
Eaton on Jan. 8, 1926,
in Barker.
He was a member of Barker
Odd Fellows Lodge No.
877.
Survivors include his widow;
a daughter. Mrs. Duane
(Lena) Russell, Appleton; a
son, Gordon Haight, Newfane;
his mother, Mrs. Donald
(Clara) Haight Auman,
Newfane; his stepfather, Donald
Auman, Newfane.
Also surviving are six sisters,
Mrs. Donald (Leah)
Branch, Fort Myers, Fla.,
Mrs. Helene Baker, Lockport,
Mrs. Ralph (Dorothy) Bencehe,
Barker, Mrs. Bertram
(Ruth) Strong, Appleton, Mrs.
La Verne (Harriet) Lewis,
Lyndonville, and Mrs. Hiram
(Florence) Gow, Lockport;
two brothers, Andrew and
George Haight, both of Lockport;
two stepsisters, Mrs.
Leonard (Betty) Hayes and
Miss Dorothy Auman, both of
Newfane; a stepbrother, Donald
Auman, Middleport, and
nine grandchildren.
Friends may call at their
convenience, starting at 2
p.m. Wednesday, at the Kenneth
H. Sherrie Funeral
Home, where services will
be held at 2 p.m. Friday,
Rev. Roger Floyd of First
Baptist Church officiating. .
Burial will be in Hartland
Central Cemetery.
