FOSTER - Ida Brandt Foster of
Ransomville, June 18, 1949, at her
home, age 69. Wife of the late C. B
Foster; mother of Roy P. of Niagara
Falls; sister of Mrs. Anna
Maacks of Ransomville and Mrs
Lucy Bartz of Lockport. Friends may
call at the home until 11 AM.
Tuesday when the remains will be
taken to Ransomville Baptist Church
for services at 2:30 P.M., the Rev
A. E. Jefferson officiating. Interment
in family plot. North Ridge
Cemetery.

RANSOMVILLE, June 20-Mrs.
Ida Brandt Foster, 69. one of the
best known residents of Ransomville,
died Saturday at hes. Main
street home following a short Illness.
She was the widow of C. B.
Foster.
Mr. and Mrs Foster formerly operated
the C. B, Foster Hardware
company here until Mr. Foster died
In 1933. Mrs. Foster then continued
to operate the business until she retired
two years ago.
Mrs. Foster was born In the Town
of Wilson, December 30. 1879, and
was a graduate of the Wilson high
school and the Wilson training class.
She taught school In the area for
ten years previous to her marriage.
She was an active member and
past patron of Ransomville Chapter
374, Order of Eastern Star, and
served as Its secretary for 19 years.
8he was a member of the Order of
the Amaranth, Niagara Falls, and
the lebanon White Shrine, Buffalo.
She formerly served as treasurer
of the Ransomville school for many
years. She was a member of Niagara
Rebekah Lodge, Youngstown, the
Ladies Auxiliary, Ransomville Fire
company, and the Ransomville Baptist
church.
The OES will conduct special
services at the Foster home tonight
at 9 o'clock. Friends may call there
until 11 a. m.. tomorrow when the
body will be removed to the Baptist
church where services will be held
at 2:30 p. m., tomorrow. The Rev.
A. E. Jefferson will officiate. Interment
will be in North Ridge cemetery.
Mrs. Foster Is survived by one
son, Roy P. Foster. Niagara Falls,
and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Maacks,
Ransomville, and Mrs. Lucy Bartz,
Lockport..
