Miss Geraldine Brauer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William
Brauer of 530 Locust street became the bride of Mr.
Andrew Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thomas of
Canaseraga, N. Y. in an impressive ceremony, solemnized
on Saturday evening, June 24 at 7 o'clock in St. Mathew's
Evangelical church, the Rev. Carl Frankenstein officiating.
The bride, who was given in
marriage by her father, wore a
gown of white satin fashioned on
princess lines, the sweetheart neckline
trimmed with lace which
formed a square collar, long sleeves
coming to points at the wrists
and a round train, also lace trimmed.
Her finger tip veil of illusion
fell from a crown of orange
blossoms and she carried a shower
bouquet or white roses, baby
breath and gypsophila.
Mrs. Harold Kinzer, sister of
the groom, was matron of honor,
wearing pale pink ninon, with a
sweetheart neckline, buttons down
the back and three quarter length
sleeves. Her headdress was a
tiara of pink flowers and she
carried pink roses and blue gypsophila
tied with pink ribbon.
Miss Donna Thiell cousin of bride
and Miss Eveline Hatt was bridesmaids,
dressed alike in pastel green
ninon, made similar to the gown
worn by the matron of hbnor.
They wore green flowered tiaras
in their hair and earned pink" roses
and gypsophila tied with* pink
ribbon. Jo Ann Brauer, niece of
the bride, was flower girl in
white net over pale yellow and she
carried a colonial bouquet tied
with pale green ribbon.
Mr. Wilbur Brauer, brother of
the bride, was best man, and the
ushers were Mr. Kenneth G. Maclean
uncle of the *groom and
Mr. Kenneth Voetsch, brother-inlaw
of the bride.
Miss Leah MacLean, cousin of
the groom, sang "I Love You
Truly" and "The Lord's Prayer."
The bride's mother wore a navy
blue dress and navy and white
accessories with a corsage of yellow
rosebuds and blue for-get-
me-nots and the groom's mother
chose orchid color with white
accessories and a similar corsage.
Following the ceremony a
wedding dinner was served in
the church hall for twenty-two
guests, the bride's table having
been centered with a three-tiered
wedding cake flanked by two tall
white candles.
Later, a reception for seventyfive
guests was held at the bride's
home. The couple left for a
wedding trip to Canada and upon
their return will make their home
in 332 Schenck street.
Pre-nuptial parties in complement
to the bride were given by
Miss Lois Klemer, Miss Eveline
Hatt, Miss Eileen Caulifield, Mrs.
Wilbur Brauer, Mrs. Keneth Voetsch
and Mrs. Harold Kinzer.
