  Henry G. Pogel Dies; Spanish War Veteran MEDINA — A veteran of the Spanish American War, Henry G. Pogel, 89, of Ridge Road, died Sunday morning (May 23, 1965) in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Buffalo. He was born Jan. 8, 1876 in the Town of Shelby. Mr. Pogel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church here and an honorary member of the Medina Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. Surviving are two sons, Fred E. Pogel of Niagara Falls and George Pogel of Ridge Road; one daughter, Mrs. Frederick (Pearl) Clack of Johnson Creek; one brother, Charles Pogel of Ridge Road; eight grandchildren, two step - grandchildren, one great- grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Barnes Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina, where funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Wilbur P. Lottes of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
