PHELPS -Claude A. Brege, 64,
of Victor, formerly of Melvin Hill
Road, Phelps, died Sunday (Nov.
1) at Cortland Memorial Hospital.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Dewey
Funeral Home, 81 E. Main St.
The military service will be at
2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the
funeral home with the Rev. Gary
Hakes of the United Church of
Phelps officiating. The Waterloo
VFW Post will give military honors.
Burial will be in Rest Haven
Cemetery, Phelps.
Mr. Brege served as a sergeant
with the Army Engineers in World
War ll in the Pacific Theater in
Okinawa. He was a member of the
Waterloo VFW Pest and the AFL
Local 85 Carpenters Union of
Rochester for 40 years.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothea;
three daughters, Karen Brege of
Tonawanda, Anita and Kathleen
Brege, both of East Rochester; two
sons, William of Derby, N.Y., and
Scott of Phelps; two grandchildren;
one brother, Harry of Martinez,
Ca.; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions
may be made to the
School of the Holy Childhood of
Rochester or Victor-Farm ington
Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
