PHELPS - Miss Eleanor June
DeLooze, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Peter DeLooze of White Rd.,
became the bride of Charles H.
Brignall of Geneva RD 3, son of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles F.
Brignall of Geneva RD 3, at 11
a. m. Saturday, Sept. 2, in the
First Methodist Church in Phelps.
The Rev. Leonard B. Whitney,
pastor, performed the double ring
ceremony before an altar decorated
with baskets of white gladioli
and chrysanthemums. Mrs.
Leonard B. Whitney played traditional
wedding music.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a floor-length
white wedding gown of Chantilly
lace and tulle, fashioned with a
fitted bodice, long sleeves pointed
at the wrist and a scalloped sa-
brina beckline with see peaarl
trim. The large hooped skirt had
Chantilly lace front and back and
side panels of tiered tule trim-
med with lace. H e r waist-tength
veil of illusion was caught to a
crown of seed pearls and prisms.
She carried a corsage of white
roses with streamers on a white
Bible.
Mrs. Robert Bowman of Seneca
Castle, sister of the bride, was
matron of honor. She wore a ballerina-
length gown of aquamarine
tulle and lace with a flower and
petal headpiece. She carried an
arm bouquet of multi-colored as-
ters.
Shelly Record of Shortsville,
niece of the bride, was flower
girl. She wore a sheer short white
dress with sunburusts of yellow on
the skirt with a white lace hat and
lace gloves. She carried a nose-
gay of yellow pompons
The mother of the bride wore a
black and white dress with black
and white accessories and a corsage
of white carnations. Mrs.
Gordon Overslaugh Sr. of Interlaken,
sister of the bridegroom,
wore a varigated yellow print
dress with matching accessories
and a corsage of white carnations.
Robert Bowman of Seneca Castle,
brother-in-law of the bride,
was best man. William Brege of
Phelps, nephew of the bridegroom,
Chantilly lace'front and back and
' nephew of ths bride, were ushers.
A buffet dinner was served at
the Log Cabin, Phelps, for 200
guests from Interlaken, Ithaca,
Newark, Port Gibson, Syracuse,
Clifton Springs, Lyons, Shortsvffle,
Seneca Castle, Geneva, Clyde and
Phelps. The tiered wedding cake
was a gift to the bride made by
Mrs. Willard Kelsey of Phelps RD.
The bride chose a pink sheer
dress with Jacket with white accessories
and her bridal corsage
for traveling. After a trip to the
St. Lawrence Seaway and through
Northern New York, the couple
are living in their trailer on Rt.
14, Geneva RD 3.
The bride is employed at Gen-
eral Electric Co. in Clyde and
bridegroom at Geneva Forge.
Pre-nuprial events included a
grocery and peronal shower by
co-workers of the bride, and a
niece and nephew shower by Judy
and Shirley DeLooze.
