h e death of Mrs. Eugene Brennon
occurred at her home Saturday, February
21. In the early evening Mrs.
Brennon had been about .her usual
household duties and stepped into the
woodshed, on a platform leading to the
pump room. Two or three minutes
later one of the daughters wishing
to speak to her, opened the door of
the woodshed and, not seeing her
mother or receiving a reply to her call,
procured a light and started in search
of her. She had gone but a few feet
when she discovered her mother lying,
face downward, between some blocks
of wood, where she had fallen from
the plaform. They carried her Into
the house, but life was extinct. Mary
A. Runge was born March 17, 1867.
She was the daughter of John C. and
Anna Runge, and was married to Eugene
Brennon, December 8, 1888. The
following named' children were born
to them and with the sorrowing: husband
survive: Earl, Ruth, Clara, Elmer
and Ernest; also one brother, Paul
Runge, of Rome. Mrs. Brennon waar a
very estimable woman, whose chief Interest
and happiness was her home.
She was a devoted wife and mother
and the sympathy of" many friends
goes out to the stricken family in this
sad hour. Her neighbors, too. lose a
kind, warm-hearted friend, and to
them Mr. Brennon and family are
deeply grateful at this time for many
kindnesses shown. The funenal was
held Wednesday morning at 10:30
from St. Mary's church at Constablevllle.
