One of t h e prettiest weddings of the
season took place yesterday morning
at St. Francis church, when Miss Irene
Gertrude Brenon became the bride of
William A. Henel of Kenmore. Very
Rev. John A. Weismantel performed
the ceremony. The brdal party en-
tered the church in the trains of Lo-
hengrin's Wedding March and during
the offertory Rosewig's "Ave Maria,"
for soprano and also was rendered by
Mrs. Eugene Duquette and Mrs. Frank
Brenon.
The bride, who entered with h e r
brother, Charles fi. Brenon, was beautifully
gowned in white georgette
trimmed with Chantilly lace, her veil
Of rose pointe lace being fastened with
a spray of orange blossoms and pearls.
She carried a shower bouquet or white
rosebuds, lilies of t he valley and gypaophelia.
She wore the groom's gift,
a necklace.of-pearls. Miss Irene Henel
acted as maid of honor, wearing a
gown of peach colored georgette with
lace trimming, and Miss Marie Kelly
w a s bridesmaid, wearing a gown of
Powder blue georgette with pale pink
eplets and trimmed with rosebuds.
Both wore headbands to match their
gowns and carried arm bouquets of
pink roses and gysophelia, tied with
pink tulle. Joseph Henel was best
man and Wilbert Brenon and William
Joyce, ushers. The bride's mother,
'Mrs. Charles Brenon, wore navy blue
s a t i n with hat to match.
Following the ceremony a reception
for the immediate iamilies was held
at the Elks' home. The bride's gifts
to her attendants were strings of Blue
Bird beads, and the groom presented
to his attendants god combination
fountain pens and pencils.
Mr. and Mrs. Henel left for a motor
trip to New York, Philadelphia and
Atlantic City, and after their return
will reside at 47 Westgate road, Ken-
more.
