Miss Arlene Louise Brewer, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Norman C
Brewer of 17 Cedar street, Akron,
and Harry Cescon, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Anthony Cescon, were united I
in marriage Saturday morning, Oct. |
18, at 10 o'clock, in St. Teresa's
church, Akron, by the Rev. Timothy
Lynch, pastor of the church.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, was gowned in white
brocaded taffeta fasnk>ned with a
sweetheart neckline trimmed with
pearl clips. Her finger-tip veil of
lace fell from a pearl halo. She carried
a colonial bouquet of white
rosebuds and baby chrysanthemums.
Miss Mary Cescon, sister of the
groom, was maid of honor. She wore
a gown of rose taffeta made with a
velvet waist and a sweetheart neck-
line. A short veil fell from her rose
colored halo. She carried a colonial
bouquet of pink roses and baby
chrysanthemums.
Darwin Brewer, broher of the
bride, was best man.
The bride's mother wore a black
alpaca dress trimmed with white
and the bridegroom's mother was
dressed in a navy blue crepe suit.
Both wore corsages of chrysanthemums.
Following the ceremony a wedding
breakfast was served in the Odd
Fellows' Hall. Thirty-three guests
were present, incluing relatives and
friends from Buffalo, Tonawanda,
Medina and Akron.
Decorations were In white, teu
being seated at the bride'* table
which was adorned with a wedding
cake topped with a miniature bride
and groom. Serving was conducted
by four friends of the bride, Mrs.
George Davis and the Missel Evelyn
Graff, Ann Mclver and Mary Caprto.
In the afternoon a reception was
held in the home of the bride's parants.
Mr. and Mrs. Cascon left for a
week's trip to Washington, the bride
wearing a brown and beige suit
with brown accessories.
After their return they will reside
at 115 Cedar street.
Pre-nuptial events Included three
showers A kitchen shower given by
the bride's aunt, Mrs. Harry Peck;
a variety shower by her sister-inlaw,
Mrs. Dorwin Brewer, and a
variety shower by another aunt,
Mrs. Arthur Brewer of Medina.
