A double-ring ceremony Saturday evening at 7 In
Trinity Lutheran Church united in marriage Miss Reve
M. Szur and Horace R. Altman.
The Rev. Ernest E. Heuer, assisted
by the Rev. Charles L. Ertman,
Hackettstown, N. J., brother
of the bride, officiated before the
chancel adorned with palms, vases
and baskets of white gladioli and
mums.
The bride Is the daughter of Mr
and Mrs. Alex T Szur, 182 Elmwood
Ave , and the groom Is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace E.
Altman. 9 Pine St.
Mr. Szur gave his daughter In
marriage. The bridal gown of rose
point Chantilly lace was fashioned
with a fitted bodice featuring a
portrait neckline and long sleeves,
pointed over the wrists. Her bouffant
skirt of pleated tulle tiers had
a matching lace panel front and
back.
GIFT OF GROOM
A lace fitted cloche, embroidered
with sequins and pearls, held her
veil of French illusion. She wore
two strands of pearls, a gift of
the groom. Her semi-cascade bou
quet was of white carnations and
rosebuds.
A white waltz length gown over
cotillion blue was worn by the
maid of honor, Miss Reva M. Szur,
sister of the bride The strapless
bodice featured ruffles of pleated
tulle and blue ribbon puffs. The
bouffant skirt of white lace was
edged with a flounce of pleated
tulle and accented with blue satin
ribbon puffs.
She wore a headband of blue
horsehair with face veil. She carried
a semi-cascade bouquet of
peach carnations.
Miss Janice Perry, Ransomville,
was the bridesmaid. Her gown and
headband were like those of the
maid of honor in a lighter shade of
blue and she carried a semi-cascade
bouquet of blue and peach
carnations.
The flower girl, Robin Lynn Llngenfelter,
niece of the groom,
wore an all white gown and headpiece
styled like those of the maid
of honor Her bouquet was of
peach, white and blue carnations
Ring bearer was Brian Lee Beakman.
M. Paul Llngenfelter, brotherin-
law of the groom, was best
man. Seating the guests were William
P. Kelly, Olean, Gerald Brewer,
cousin of the bride, and Robert
Tanis.
James D. Pletcher, soloist, was
accompanied by Erwin H. Reinholtz,
organist.
For her daughter's wedding,
Mrs. Szur chose a thorn rose silk
faced peau de soie dress with
matching accessories. The groom's
mother favored a brown silk taffeta
print dress with white accessories.
Their corsages were of
mixed flowers.
RECEPTION FOLLOWS
Following the ceremony, a re-
ception was held at the Elks Club.
A square four - tiered wedding
cake, topped by a miniature bride
and groom, was flanked by silver
candelabra and the attendants
bouquets at the bride's table.
Serving at the reception were
the Misses Loretta Szur, aunt of
the bride. Janet Beakman, Marcia
Lake and Sandra Walsh.
The couple is traveling through
Southeran California. As the bride
left for their trip, she was wearing
a light blue sheath dress with
white accessories and a corsage of
white roses and carnations They
will temporarily jeside in Santa
Monica, Calif.
The bride was graduated from
Lockport Senior High School and
attended Alfred State Technical
Institute, Alfred. The groom was
graduated f r o m Punxsutawney
High School, Punxsutawney, Pa.!
He enlisted with the U. S. Air|
Force in 1951, served two years in
Europe, and is now a Staff Sergeant
at the Lockport Air Force
Base.
