Miss Helen Marie Bridgeman,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. J.
Bridgeman of Clarendon, and Chrles
Edward Birge, son of Raymond
Birge of Byron Center, were united
in marriage Saturday morning, Sep-
tember 20, 1941, in the sacristy of
St. Mary's Church Holley. Rev.
Felix F. McCabe, D.D., pastor of
the church, officiated.
The bride was attired in a white
silk jersey gown, with a fitted bod-
ice and a V-shaped neckline. Her
finger tip veil of ilusion fell from a
cap of orange blossoms. She carried
a bridal boouquet of american
Beauty roses and pompons.
Miss Kathleen Ennis, the mad of
honor, wore a gown of heavenly
blue silk jersey fashioned with a
sweetheart neckline, and a match-
ing headdress. She carried an arm
bouquet of Talisman roses.
Stanley Birge of Batavia acted as
best man for his brother.
The bride's mother wore a dress
of defense blue with hat to match
with black accessories and a corsage
of red roses.
The sister of the groom was dres-
ed in blacn and wore a corsage of
red roses.
The bride is a graduate of Holley
High School in the Class of 1937.
The groom attended South Byron
High School.
Following the ceremony a wedding
dinner was served at Harvey's Tea
Room in Batavia to the brida party
and the immediate members of te
families.
In the afternoon a recception was
held at the home of the bride's par-
ennts in Clarendon. Many relatives
an friends of the bride and groom
were in attendance
The bride chose for traveling a
suit of Venetial blue with dubonnet
hat and accessories..
Mr. and Mrs. Birge left in the
evening for Detroit and the Great
Lakes section. On their return they
will reside in LeRoy.
Preuptial events included a lun-
cheon and variety sower at Bla-
kely's Inn in Albion by Mrs. Edward
K. Bridgeman; a diner and personal
shower at Laude's Old Spain,, Roch-
ester, by the Misses Ennis and Kla-
fehn a dinner at Loranzo's, Roch-
ester, by te associates of the bride
at the Camera Woks and a dinner-
at Daley's Rochester, by the de-
partment girls of the same place and
a kitchen shower by Miss Ethel
Dacharty at her home on Vick Park
A. Rochester. The groom was feted
at a steak dinner at the Broadway,
LeRoy, with hisbusiness associates
as hosts.
